Teri Mock has been a practicing Music Therapist for 10 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and pursued her Master of Arts in Medical Music Therapy at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana, earning the degree in 2002. During her career, she has worked in a variety of settings and has developed specialties in Medical Music Therapy, Special Education, Special Needs and Autism and a variety of needs seen in private practice including emotional and wellness issues.
Teri has also developed and maintained a number of private music studios in Southern Arizona and Omaha, Nebraska during her 11-year private teaching career. Currently, she is developing a quality studio in west Mesa, based on the fundamental principle that “music-making should be an enjoyable, relaxing and stress-reducing activity for those who engage in it.” However, she admits that it is not always like that during the “early months or years of study.” She also has experience in developing, directing and playing in performance groups and ensembles. She is willing to develop new ensembles for students who reach performance levels and express an interest.
Teri became involved in the health and wellness industry in 1996 when a friend introduced her to glyconutients and she was able to move from the sickness paradigm toward the wellness paradigm and noted significant improvements in her health. Since that time, Teri has felt compelled to share her story, her musical and therapeutic gifts, and to share in the amazing journey toward wellness of many individuals who have bravely stepped outside the box and embraced the powerful combination of nutritional supplementation and music.
